I contacted Cleverbridge, WinZip's e-commerce partner, to question why I was not getting updates to WinZip 19.5 when I had already purchased the 'Pro Update'. The rep gave me a number for WinZip's tech support, Systweak. I spoke with 3 different people at Systweak, 2 during my first call and the supervisor during my second call. I have zero (0) trust in their ability to assist me because they hacked my computer. During the first call after explaining my issue with not getting updates for WinZip the rep immediately said "maybe your computer is infected". I told her it was not. I have dual protection systems for virus, malware, network defence. My PC was not infected prior to my call with them however she repeated this a few times, handed me off to someone else in her organization who proceeded to say the same thing. The only reason I called was to try and determine why I was not receiving updates on WinZip. After ended the call with the 2nd rep because it was obvious me that he wasn't going to or able to help me and I shut down the chat window with him then I got a pop up informing me that my PC has been hacked and infected with a Trojan and that I needed to call 844-311-**** in order to get it removed..........

I called back after about 10 minutes of sheer exasperation and spoke with the 'supervisor' who said he wanted to help by checking my 'Network access protection'. I was not about to allow them access to my pc again. Also I'm on Windows 10 which has Windows Defender which includes network access protection.

I am extremely unhappy with WinZip/Cleverbridge and theis tech support partner.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Winzip Cons: Trickery.

They are Bullies.And not go keep on to you for weeks till you give in then Charge you Twice and they make it very hard for you as you need a key to Reg After sitting here for 2 days trying to get a key .l have come to the end. And l have Canceled Refund please. l don't wont to here there name again or any othere ;s Thanks

I had the EXACT same experiences today. Scam. Including the Trojan.

Sorry to hear about your experience being the same as mine. At the time of the incident I ended up performing a complete security scan and everything checked out okay. However it was unnerving getting the 'pop up' regarding the Trojan and then speaking with the 'supervisor' just seemed to be consistent with their modus operandi of lowering your defenses and then making the situation even worse.
